South-South Cooperation: Trade Unions’ key asks to the BAPA+40

Trade unions have presented their key asks on South-South an Triangular Cooperation at the United Nations’ High-level Conference on South-South Cooperation (Buenos Aires, 20-22 March 2019).

The document includes trade unions’ nine key asks on South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC). Framed by the overarching objective of the labour movement to create a global New Social Contract, the key asks range from building SSTC on the development effectiveness principle and including the SDGs at the core of SSTC to calling for a new development model and for acknowledging the work that trade unions are doing in this sense through their own SSTC programmes.
