Africa’s economies and populations have been hit hard by the trail of devastation caused by the Covid-19 crisis.
This study assesses the level of alignment of governments’ responses with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 8 on decent work and sustainable economic growth.
The study is composed of three main chapters.
The first chapter looks at the impact of the crisis over the past years and the policies
that have been put in place in response.
The second part of the study looks into national policy responses in Kenya and Senegal from an SDG 8 perspective.
Finally, the last chapter compiles a series of recommendations to governments in Africa and international donors.
