Congress pre-meeting: The world’s youth demand decent work
In the lead up to the ITUC Congress that takes place this coming week in Vancouver, Canada, young trade unionists from all over the world got together and discussed the situation of young people at the workplace. The ITUC Youth Committee is a body set up by the ITUC General Council and is very proud to be completely equal in its composition, with two men and two women under 35 years old from each region: Asia-Pacific, Africa, Americas and Europe.
Now the People — From the Crisis to Global Justice
One thousand delegates representing 176 million members from 155 countries and territories will take part in the Second World Congress of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC). They will deal with issues related to labour’s demands for restructuring and reform of the global economy with an emphasis on workers’ rights, migrant workers, climate change and HIV-AIDS.

not be achieved until the labour market had recovered, and that measures
