This Oxfam report, conducted with the company International Procurement & Logistics (IPL), looks at the influence of UK retailers and consumers on the produce export sector in Kenya. It found job security increasing for skilled workers in flower packhouses, but low wages and poor childcare were common. Oxfam calculated that wages could be doubled if just 5p were added to the retail price of a £4 bunch of flowers and earmarked for wages. [In English]
