The ILO estimates at 215 million the number of children involved in child labour. Yet one of the Millennium Development Goals is to ensure primary education for all before 2015. There is no time to waste!
Trade unions, which have long been involved in the fight against child labour, are stepping up their campaigns, negotiations, advocacy work and action on the ground to help children find their way back into school.
