In 2012, Thailand enacted Ministerial Regulation No 14 (B.E. 2555) providing that all domestic workers are entitled to certain conditions including: one day off each week, paid sick leave and paid overtime for working on holidays. It also prohibits the employment of domestic workers under 15 years of age. Exclusions remain including working hours’ limitations, minimum wage coverage and social security protection.
