Trade unions play an important role in advancing the 2030 Agenda at the national and global level. By defending workers’ rights through promoting the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular SDG 8, and by shaping national development policies through engagement with their national authorities and UN country teams.
