Indonesia: Actions from KSPI

On January 29, 2014 KSPI have a dialogue and lobbying with manpower minister in his office for asked Indonesia government to support referral of the matter to the International Court of Justice. And he promise to support trade union. But KSPI received information from IndustriALL GLU trough FSPMI in February 5 that Indonesia government is part of country where the government do not support referral of the matter to the International Court of Justice . And we haven’t get information the development yet.

On February 6, 2015 in conjunction with 16th FSPMI Anniversary, all of federation who affiliate to KSPI, celebrate with demonstration in city center of Jakarta and long march to president palace with with 20.000 participants from Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi. Our main issue is asked to Indonesia government to support trade union to refuse the elimination right to strike from ILO convention 87.

Another issue that KSPI raised up were
1. Decent wage by revise the item survey of decent living cost to 84 items and refuse the minister regulation about increasing Indonesia minimum wage will be reviewed every 5 years.
2. Pass the government regulation about pension funds with 15% dues and 75% benefit from the last salary.
3. Increasing the budget for BPJS health from government and health insurance will free of charge.
4. Stop Outsourcing

The demonstration with same issue also held at 12 province in Indonesia where KSPI have membership.
