“HIV/AIDS, health, climate change and sustainable development – making the links for the trade union response” June 2012

This note is designed to examine critical links between health, the environment, and development in order to place trade union HIV/AIDS advocacy within the context of social equity and sustainable livelihoods demands for the outcomes of the Rio+20 UN Conference in 2012. Trade Union Assembly on Labour and the Environment took place from 11 to 13 June 2012, a few days ahead of Rio+20, and have called on governments to undertake a process of profound change in all areas of economic life. The discussion also included HIV/AIDS.
