ITUC’s #timefor8 campaign galvanised trade unions into action at UN SDG high-level week


The latest edition of the #timefor8 campaign mobilised trade unions from across the world to express their support for a New Social Contract during the 2020 edition of the United Nations’ High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development which took place on 7-16 July.
 Publication  SDG Decade of Action - Trade Union Policy Responses


This flagship publication gathers the results of the ITUC’s SDG 8 Monitor on the central role this Goal plays in the 2030 Agenda and a New Social Contract. This monitoring is based on an in-depth analysis of data from over 150 countries. The publication also presents the trade union policy responses that world leaders must urgently undertake to address the unfolding Covid-19 crisis.
 Publication  A Trade Union Take on the SDGs – 2020 edition


This publication compiles the work on monitoring the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals at national level undertaken by 26 labour organisations in 14 countries from around the world. This edition takes into account the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and its impact on workers and their families.

The Global Deal is a multi-stakeholder initiative that promotes social dialogue and social partnerships. The full recognition and observance of labour rights and the rule of law are targets of the 2030 Agenda and preconditions for effective social dialogue. Simultaneously, social dialogue can contribute to achieving many SDG targets relating to people, planet and prosperity.
