On 12th December, European Foreign Affairs Council adopted a second set of conclusions on the role of the private sector in international development. The document follows the EU Commission’s communication, released on 13th May 2014, and the first set of Council conclusions, published on 24th June 2014.
 Although the conclusions bring about positive improvements regarding the support to local SMEs, social enterprises and cooperatives, unfortunately they fail to recognize decent work and social dialogue as fundamental pillar to sustainable development

Madrid Declaration on the creation of an international panel for poverty and inequality eradication
The Spanish Alliance Against Poverty supports the proposal to create a permanent Panel that enables  to continue the fight against poverty and inequality, and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals of the post 2015 agenda and provides political guidelines for the actions of governments and the United Nations.
