TUDCN 2015 Open Coordination Meeting

The TUDCN Open Coordination Meeting took place in Brussels on 24-25 September 2015. It gathered representatives from TUDCN affiliates from Europe, America, Africa and Asia-Pacific.

OCM participants reviewed the different advocacy, partnerships and outreach activities of TUDCN for the year 2015-2016. Among the main topics: implementation and follow-up of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, south-south cooperation, upcoming TUDCN research studies and activities.

María José Romero from Eurodad and Jan Van de Poel from the Belgian NGO platform 11.11.11 spoke about the Addis Ababa Action Agenda (AAAA) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) framework.

Oscar Ernerot (LO Sweden) presented the Global Deal, an initiative from the Swedish Prime Minister and Swedish trade unions that aims at making decent work, social dialogue and tripartism pivotal for development.

Giulia Massobrio (TUCA) and Antonio Lisboa (CUT Brazil) spoke about paths for South-South cooperation policies and trade union engagement.
