ITUC Condemns Brussels Terror Attacks

The ITUC has condemned today’s murderous terrorist attacks in Brussels, which have taken the lives of a least 27 people and injured many more.

Brussels Airport and the metro station at Maelbeek, near the European Parliament and EU institutions, were targeted in the attacks this morning.

“Our thoughts are first and foremost with those who have fallen victim to these latest terrorist atrocities. On this terrible day for the Belgian and European capital, we should also be inspired by the many acts of compassion and solidarity, between ordinary people, which have been witnessed across the city. We trust that the authorities will identify and bring to justice those who are behind these and other attacks, wherever they are,” said ITUC General Secretary Sharan Burrow.
