The ITUC contingent at COP17 joined the thousands who joyously and peacefully thronged Durban’s streets for the Day of Action for climate justice. The highlight of the ITUC presence on the march was a large balloon bearing the ITUC logo. Unionists on the march, including ITUC general secretary Sharan Burrow, urge government leaders scheduled to arrive this weekend to ensure a just outcome to the Durban round of climate negotiations.
