The Italian ratification follows a successful campaign by the Italian trade unions that have pressed for a speedy ratification Convention. The campaign forms part of the wider 12 x 12 Campaign that is mobilising European and International trade unions for a full endorsement of the Convention on Domestic Work in all member states of the ILO. Italy is the eight country to ratify the Convention worldwide.
